My name is Holly, and welcome to my little plot of cyberspace. Living in the Northern Virginia area has been quite an adventure - and a major change from my native Portland, Oregon. It's good to be back near my adoptive city of Washington, DC after a diverting 5 years in Atlanta, GA. It's been a joy getting reacquainted with the DC area, experience the art, neighborhoods, and refine my palette in some of the wonderful restaurants here...in 'the before times.' The Great Pandemic of 2020 has seen me experimenting in the wet bar more than usual, so I was reinspired to dust off ye ol' blog of yore.
Sharing a cup of coffee or glass of wine with my family and friends has been such a big part of my life since the early years, that after a lot of encouragement and prodding ("Holly, you're like my own personal 'Yelp!' service."), I decided to document some of my imbibing adventures here on MetroSips.
